April 8, 2025 Update

Crews are resuming testing at Standing Bear Lake Station the week of April 7, 2025. Since it has been a few weeks since the last test, neighbors may see or hear impacts from the engines tuning back on. This may include visual emissions coming from the stacks, noises from the engine or smell from the exhaust during periods of testing.

During the tests performed this week, one or more engines will be in operation for a duration of several hours. As with any testing, as the generating units continue to be tested, exhaust should become much less noticeable.
