OPPD is actively engaged and monitoring the ongoing discussions regarding a carbon tax/pricing. OPPD is particularly sensitive to the details of such a proposal, as those details are critical to understanding customer impacts associated with any proposed carbon tax/pricing. As we do with any proposed legislation, we will develop positions based on the specific policy proposals, ensuring we are the best advocates for our customers. OPPD’s Pathways to Decarbonization initiative will establish different pathways for OPPD to decarbonize our operations with the intent to create a roadmap to net zero carbon by 2050.
